Only a Smile
 © J Kuehne 2013

I can’t fix the world
It’s just too big for me
There are to many people for one man to see
So I’ll just live my life
Following simple philosophy
Every day I will try
To make one person Smile

My Goal Seems So Simple
Yes I know it is small
But I want people happy
and I can’t touch them all
One can only do what one can do
As you travel down life’s roads
A little smile won’t change the world
But it will help to ease the load

Give a Smile
Tell a Joke
Pat him on the back
Tell her she looks Great today
Then Share a child’s snack
Get down on the floor to play
and Pray the Smiles you give away
Go round the town throughout the day
And hope one or two come back

Stress is just a game we play
To add importance to our lives
We let this stress get in the way
Not choosing happy but choosing strife
I can’t tell you how that smile works
Just know it helps relieve the hurts
Warm Feelings
Sense of wellbeing
Reflected back in the eyes I am seeing

You can Choose to be happy
Or choose to be sad
when you choose Angry
It can tend to get bad
The spreading of smiles
I tend to believe
Lead more towards the happy
Sadness relieved

Give a Smile
Tell a Joke
Pat him on the back
Tell her she looks Great today
Then Share a child’s snack
Get down on the floor to play
and Pray the Smiles you give away
Go round the town throughout the day
And hope one or two come back

So I’ve become a bit of a comedian
had my share of strange looks
from both women and men
but the result that I get
more often then not
is that smile I seek
and I like that a lot
Just make one person happy
Use your own style
It doesn’t take much
It’s only a Smile
